Roughly 6,500 languages are spoken around the world today. Each and every of these languages have been contributed to communicate the feelings, attitudes of human being and to share information. In modern world, most of the youth, as well as the adults prefer to learn one or more languages with many purposes. This is very vital as well as very useful for anyone, even though you try to learn a language as a hobby. A language can make a bridge to realize any culture, tradition in the world. Learning languages make one’s life open to the society and the world. If you learn a new language, there you have an opportunity to enjoy many different literary works. It also helps to enhance your current knowledge as it can help you to research or find many information and details on many subjects and fields that you are interested in.


Learning languages is not only to help in your personal advantage but also to maintain world peace. The translators, interpreters and linguists contribute many international organizations to realize many internal and external conflicts in between countries based on race and nationality around the world. There, their language skills help them to analyze those problems which can lead world peace towards a war. Language knowledge avoids miscommunications among communities. Moreover, it helps us to understand other communities’ cultures, attitudes, feelings and their lifestyles. This understanding leads the world towards the peace. Further, languages can gather people with common interests in to one platform and they have the opportunity to enjoy their cultural festivals, food, and sports together as countries and regions. Evoking hatred towards another nation or group of people can be avoided by this.


Moreover, language learning plays and admirable role in education fields. For teachers, school students and university students, language knowledge is essential in improving knowledge, teaching, researching on various topics and to be updated with the new technologies. For an instance, a student who is interested in science and new technology, knowing English is useful, if he or she is a non-native of English. Here, the skills of reading, listening, writing and speaking help him or her to go through new updates about new innovations, changes in many theories and help with adapting new information. Most of these new updates and researches are published in English. Therefore, the student can easily understand this information if they have a good knowledge in English.

In addition to that, language learning is vital in many other aspects such as in health sector, business and economic fields, foreign affairs and development sectors. There are many job opportunities in many countries in these sectors. Bilinguals and multilinguals can get these opportunities to work in many countries and to improve their skills, especially in business fields. In health sector, language learning helps in knowledge sharing and to be aware of new medicines, medical technologies, and disease.
